Lamb

Our flock of 700 ewes is based on our organic farm in Berkshire. Rushall farm is set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is approximately 600 acres, and has been farmed by the family for over 90 years.

The ewes lamb in March and April, and the lambs are reared at the highest welfare standards as required within a wholly organic system. The lambs are grass fed in our pastures on the Berkshire downs and occasionally some will come to graze at Marcham in the autumn months.

The livestock are slaughtered as locally as possible to reduce food miles, and are butchered on Soil Assocation approved premises. The meat is vacuum packed and then professionally frozen. Please ensure that the meat is always fully defrosted out of its packaging before cooking.
