Beef Our beef is fully organic and is exclusively both bred and reared on our farms. We have chosen breeds including both Saler and Brown Swiss cows that finish well on an organic diet, which mainly consists of grass. We run three Aberdeen Angus Bulls, for their good temperament and world renowned eating quality. We find that with our 'stress-free' system not only do all the animals eat better and therefore grow better but they also rarely get ill. In the event of illness we endeavour to use homeopathic treatment wherever possible. The beef is slaughtered locally, hung for three weeks and expertly butchered on Soil Association approved premises. The beef is vacuum packed and then professionally frozen. Please ensure that the meat is fully defrosted out of its packaging before cooking. Rosé Beef We are again selling our young beef known here as Rosé (pronounced R-o-s-a-y) Beef, although you may have seen this in the press more recently called "Good Veal, Pink Veal or High Welfare Organic Veal". We are keen to remove the stigma attached to this meat. All our beef animals thrive within our organic farming system. They have a healthy diet and freedom of movement, with access to outdoors and to shelter at all times, and the meat produced is very succulent and tender. Rosé Beef is lighter in colour and delicately flavoured, and is a responsible alternative to conventional veal from dimly lit, crowded pens. The cuts are similar to beef cuts, but some are naturally smaller.
